1 Know like trust
Our property on an air strip is not looking like it’s going to work out for us to buy. Disappointing but that just means that is where we were not supposed to be placed. My husband and I drove around for four hours yesterday afternoon looking for land to even see what was out there. See, we have been waiting for the air strip property for about 14 months. In that time, we didn’t look at any other property. We were SO sure the first property would work out that we didn’t need to have a Plan B!
Until now.
Graciously, God has pointed us in a direction of some property that fits us to a tee. It’s fits our needs and is actually way more property than we were going to get at the other house around the same amount of money.
But, now it’s the time to propose an offer to the lot owner. He may let us buy it but you know what would be better to accept our offer??? If he were to know, like, and trust us!!!
You know what I did?? I told Jim, show Farmer Bob a picture of me and our son! Share with him that this purchase would mean a lot to our family. And then I said something only a good business owner says, Emotion sells. How you make him feel will invite him into our life.
Does this mean he will accept our offer? Maybe. Maybe not. But there’s NO chance he will UNLESS he feels something. Unless he knows, likes and trusts us.
That is what a podcast does. It entrusts you to your listeners. It invites them into knowing you better (family picture), liking you, and eventually trusting that you are the one that is the expert speaking into them about your services.
(in our case, our land owner may decide that the people who desire to get to know him, who share with him their lives are the ones he should sell to.
So remember: People will not buy from people they don’t know, like or trust. It’s a proven fact.
