ep 76 - Starting a Podcast: Objections Then Transformation

Starting a podcast can be an exciting yet nerve-wracking experience for anyone. But for Christian business owners, the fear and doubt can be amplified. You may feel butterflies in your stomach, your knees knocking, and your mind racing with thoughts like "What if I say the wrong thing?" or "Who am I to be sharing my faith in this way?" But if you are battling some doubt right now, know that you are not alone.

As a Christian business owner, you have a unique opportunity to use your platform to share your faith and inspire others. Your podcast can serve as a way to connect with your audience on a deeper level, share your experiences, and offer encouragement and guidance to those who may be struggling.

But with this opportunity comes the fear of being vulnerable, the fear of not being good enough, and the fear of being judged by others. It's important to acknowledge these fears and recognize that they are normal. It's okay to feel scared or doubtful, but it's not okay to let those feelings hold you back from pursuing your dreams.

So, how can you overcome these feelings of fear and doubt? Here are a few tips:

  1. Pray for guidance and courage. Take some time to pray for guidance and ask God to give you the courage to step out of your comfort zone.

  2. Remember your purpose. Why did you decide to start a podcast in the first place? What is your goal? Keeping your purpose in mind can help you stay focused and motivated.

  3. Start small. You don't have to have everything figured out from the start. Start with a few episodes and see how it goes. You can always make changes along the way.

  4. Surround yourself with support. Follow along my fun journey on Instagram! Download my podcast checklist (below) and get on my email list.

  5. Be kind to yourself. Remember that it's okay to make mistakes. Don't be too hard on yourself if things don't go as planned. Learn from your mistakes and keep moving forward.

In conclusion, starting a podcast can be a scary and doubtful experience, especially for Christian business owners who want to share their faith and experiences with the world. But you are not alone. You have the support of other Christian entrepreneurs who have been in your shoes. So, if you are battling some doubt right now, remember that it's okay to feel scared. Take a deep breath, pray for guidance and courage, and take that first step. I’m cheering you on!!
