ep. 198: Top Ten with Wren: Christmas Gift Giving Guide with Wren Robbins

Years ago I started sharing with you my top 10 gift-giving guides to kick off your Christmas shopping. These are 10 small, Christian-based businesses that I support and have personally purchased from. So, without further ado, it is once again a privilege to share this year’s picks -  get started with your shopping this Friday (if you haven’t already!).

1 - Kingfolkco.com

“On a mission to help you be the hands and feet of Jesus by encouraging others through faith-based gifts,” they sell Bible covers, stickers, bracelets, keychains, and t-shirts… I met them at a Holiday Shopping Extravaganza in Arlington, TN, this year and then dug into their website. Let’s just say I went shopping! ;-)

2 - Dudeperfect.com

If you haven’t seen these guys on YouTube - go right now (https://www.youtube.com/c/DudePerfect) and check them out, then come back here. I’ll wait! Guys of all ages will appreciate the fun antics in their videos, which combine sports with comedy. Then, go ahead and pick up some items at their store (dudeperfect.com) for the “dudes” in your life.

3 - Oh, Grate - oh-grate.com

This company was started by two moms trying to simplify their lives and inspire others to gather around the table without the stress of figuring out what’s for dinner. They also have meals available in various “grab and go” locations. However, they are local to the Memphis area, and right now, don’t ship. (But take a look at their site - it’ll make ya’ wish you lived in these parts…)

4 - Gray Skies Are Blue

You may remember when Stacy @humoroushomemaking was on the show (https://wrenrobbins.com/podcast/118), and she mentioned Charity (the owner of Gray Skies Are Blue) a few times. So...I looked her up. I fell in love with her Christian-themed doormats (of all things) and stickers (‘cause you know me and stickers!).

5 - Sol Planners- 2022 Planner

Sarah Light was on the podcast this past summer https://wrenrobbins.com/podcast/185, and just let me say: her planners are the best for any go-getter. The mission of Sol Planers (and Sarah) is to help you reach goals and build a meaningful life. The interview was fantastic, and I can say from personal experience, you will not be disappointed with her planners, either.

6 - Val Marie Paper Prayer Journal: Order Your Journal Here!

Find focus and develop consistency in your prayer life with Val Marie’s prompted prayer journals, course, and book, “Pray Confidently and Consistently.” We gave this prayer journal to the teachers in my son’s school last year for Teacher Appreciation week, and they were a big hit. This is a journal that I have recommended for years. I thoroughly enjoyed the interview I had with her (https://wrenrobbins.com/podcast/192) this past fall, too.

7 - Growing Slow book:

One of THE best books I have ever read, you may remember Jennifer Dukes Lee from her interview (http://www.wrenrobbins.com/podcast/194) this fall. She was suffering from “hurry sickness” and her book talks about “how to unhurry your heart.” You can find it on her website at jenniferdukeslee.com or on Amazon here.

8 - Read Kaleidoscope Bibles

This company has been a past sponsor of Friends of a Feather, and I am a total fan! Love that they are reimagining Bibles for elementary- and middle-schoolers by bridging the gap between children’s storybook Bibles and teen Bibles. Their theme is “Growing, Knowing, and Loving Jesus” and they have a vision to produce over 60 volumes by 2028! Visit them at readkaleidoscope.com

9 - Christa Hutchins: “DoANewThing” journal

A friend of mine once told me that when you’re writing you’re not in your emotions, so you’re able to process your thoughts better. Of course, we know there are other benefits to journaling, as well, so this is an economical and useful gift for friends. Christa was on the show (http://www.wrenrobbins.com/podcast/183) this past summer, and you may remember how she talked about using our God-given gifts… You can find her journals here

10 - Kindred Spirit Style

This is a boutique local to the Memphis area, but they are also online. Patti Yancy is an amazing lady; a super-savvy and incredibly generous businesswoman. I have often walked into the store (kindredspiritstyle.com) and “caught her” praying over a customer. They go live every week on Facebook, and are on Instagram, too. - I can’t wait to have her on the podcast! (They’re also a “grab and go” location for “Oh, Grate”!)

10 - Rahab’s Rope

Started in 2004, Rahab’s Rope exists to spread awareness and help eradicate sex trafficking. “We give hope and opportunity to those who are at risk or have been forced into the sex trade…(working) in the areas of prevention, direct intervention, and aftercare.” If you’re local to the Memphis area, you can stop into Bellevue Bookstore at Bellevue Baptist Church to shop. If not, go online at rahabsrope.com to see what they have and place an online order. You’ll be supporting a much-needed ministry...

12 - Wren Robbins Podcast Coaching

Aaaand, last but not least… If you are a woman in business or ministry and you want to get your message out, I would be honored if you would allow me to help you get started! Right now, my Podcast Runway 101 is on sale for $397 and comes with one month of Voxer access. DM me on Instagram @wrensrobbinscoach or email me at wren@wrenrobbins.com to get started!

What a privilege to share these companies with you! Please consider supporting their ministries to help spread light in a dark world… And share this episode with a friend of yours who might be willing to support them, too!
